Barbacks work in nightclubs, bars, restaurants and catering & banquet facilities, among other venue and event types. Generally responsible for backing up bartenders, maintaining stocks, changing kegs, collecting empty glasses, maintaining cleanliness of bar and surrounding area, ensuring clean glassware is readily available, and re-stocking ice.  Requires knowledge and adherence to health and safety, proper hygiene, sanitary practices. 

The food & beverage and hospitality industry is all about teamwork. Everyone should contributes as needed and sometimes wear multiple hats; from bussers & dishwashers to cooks, servers, hosts, bartenders, security, and managers.
